In all cases, it is important to manage the ABCs first. In this case of child abuse, there is concern about intracranial hemorrhage given the neurological exam and eye findings. A CT scan is important to evaluate the degree of hemorrhage and look for mass effect. Consulting with Neurosurgery is important as the child may require evacuation of the hemorrhage. Whenever you are concerned that a child may have been abused, it is your legal duty to report this to the child welfare services
